‘Dancing with the Stars’ Season 24 Episode 8 Betting Odds
–This is the 24th season for ABC’s reality show.
–A double elimination in Episode 7 as Nancy Kerrigan and Nick Viall got the ax.
–’Dancing With The Stars’ Episode 8 airs on Monday, May 7 at 8:00 PM Eastern.
Two eliminations for the price of one in Week 7 of ‘Dancing with the Stars’. Nancy Kerrigan and Nick Vitali were both eliminated leaving the remaining field at five. Vitali’s elimination was no real surprise and he’d ‘dodged the bullet’ several times over the course of the season. Kerrigan’s elimination was a mild upset–she had put up solid though unspectacular scores throughout and finished with a 32.6 scoring average. Of course we learned last week that scoring is just a part of the equation.

Now that we’ve seen the scores lets run down the betting results from Week 7. Nick Viall and Nancy Kerrigan were eliminated as +125 and +1250 choices respectively. Viall was a close second in this betting market behind Bonner Bolton at +115. Kerrigan was the fourth choice just behind David Ross (+650) and ahead of the rest of the field at +2150. The judges’ highest score went to Normani Kordei–she was a co-favorite for this honorific at +150 with Simone Biles. Lowest score went to the ‘favorite’ as Bonner Bolton dropped a 29 as a -130 ‘lowest score’ favorite. Four ’10’ scores were awarded for a +200 takeback with all four going to Kordei. The average score was 35 which went ‘Over’ the posted total of 32.5. One perfect score of 40 was awarded (+130) and the lowest score of the week was a 29 which just exceeded the ‘low score total’ of 28.5.
So what’ll happen in Week 8? There are two episodes left and a clear division between the top three (Normani Kordei, Rashad Jennings and Simone Biles) and the bottom two (David Ross and Bonner Bolton). While Normani Kordei has taken control of the competition in the past few weeks the top three are still very close. In fact, the season long average scores of the top three are separated by less than 1 percentage point (0.9% to be exact). In the bottom two, David Ross is right at the ‘Mendoza Line’ of 30 and has a 1.4% better average than Bonner Bolton. Everything suggests that Bolton will be gone after Week 8 but that’s how it appeared last week.
