‘America’s Got Talent’ Season 12 Finals Betting Odds
–’America’s Got Talent’ has returned for its 12th season on NBC.
–The final 10 contestants were determined in two semifinal rounds.
–The ‘America’s Got Talent’ Season 12 Finals will be aired live on September 19 and 20 at 8 PM Eastern Time.
The rest of September will be full of reality shows coming and going. Season 25 of ‘Dancing with the Stars‘ begins on September 18, ‘The Voice’ starts September 25 and the latest iteration of ‘Survivor’ aka ‘Survivor Heroes vs. Healers vs. Hustlers‘ kicks off on September 27. The cooking reality show ‘Hell’s Kitchen’ with Gordon Ramsay starts September 29 with another cooking competition ‘Chopped: Alton’s Challenge’ starting on the Food network on October 10. The big Summer reality shows–‘America’s Got Talent’ along with ‘So You Think You Can Dance‘ and ‘Big Brother’ are having their finals within the next week. The prevailing wisdom is that the winner of ‘America’s Got Talent’ is a foregone conclusion. Darci Lynne Farmer has taken over the competition and is a strong favorite to take the title. The interesting competition will be for the runner up spots where there’s much more competitive parity. It’ll be interesting to see if the presumption that Darci Lynne is a ‘lock’ to take the crown will hurt the ratings of the final show. The ratings this season–and particularly in the past six weeks–have bounced all over the place though much of that has to do with competition from NFL and college football along with the wall to wall news coverage of Hurricane Irma. The Tuesday ‘performance’ show faces little competition but the Wednesday ‘results’ show has a much tougher challenge. Also in the 8 to 10 Eastern time slot on Setepmber 20th are the finale of ‘Big Brother’ and the finale of ‘Masterchef’.
