NHL Best Bets for November 17, 2015

Eight games on the board for Tuesday night. Here are our best bets:

DALLAS STARS AT BUFFALO SABRES:

This looks like a no-brainer play on the Stars. But not so fast–Dallas has four losses this season, all to teams under .500 including two losses to Toronto. The Sabres are showing marked improvement despite a slew of injuries including Evander Kane. Kane has started skating again and is hoping to return on the Sabres’ upcoming road trip. This could be a flat spot for Dallas who might be starting to feel a bit too good about themselves. Buffalo has won 6 of their last 9 and at the very least the Sabres are worth a shot at this price.

BET BUFFALO SABRES +155 OVER DALLAS STARS

LOS ANGELES KINGS AT PHILADELPHIA FLYERS:

The Kings started the season slowly but have been playing great hockey ever since. The Flyers have been in miserable form and have a tough opponent to face on Simon Gagne retirement night. Steve Mason will get the start for the Flyers tonight as Michal Neuvirth is out with an injury. The Kings are entering a very tough scheduling sequence–of their next twenty games they’ll be on the road for fifteen of them. Kings are 4-1 this season against opponents with losing records and have won nine of their last twelve games. Philadelphia has lost eight of their last ten. No reason the Kings can’t start their tough stretch of road games with a win here.

BET LOS ANGELES KINGS -150 OVER PHILADELPHIA FLYERS

ST. LOUIS BLUES AT COLUMBUS BLUE JACKETS:

The Blues are a tough team to figure. They’ll look incredible on some nights and look very beatable on others. It appears that the coaching change in Columbus has paid dividends as the Jackets have won six of their last ten games. While some Columbus faithful are still wanting to see more from John Tortorella’s team others think that the Jackets are regaining their ‘swagger’ under the volatile coach. This is the only road game in a five game stretch for St. Louis and we like the Jackets to pull the upset.

BET COLUMBUS BLUE JACKETS +100 OVER ST. LOUIS BLUES
