NHL Hockey Best Bets for November 28, 2015
Busy day in NHL action for Saturday. Our best bets for today are in the late start games:
OTTAWA SENATORS AT ARIZONA COYOTES:
Senators playing well right now but in the Eastern Conference there’s a huge gap between Montreal and the NY Rangers and everyone else. Ottawa has won four straight and is 6-3-1 in their last ten. They’re in second place in the Atlantic Division but they’re still nine points back of the Montreal Canadiens. The Arizona Coyotes have won six of ten but are likely in for a tough test tonight. This is the last of a three game road trip for Ottawa who will next play against Philadelphia at home on Tuesday night. Arizona heads out for a brutal five game road trip starting in Nashville on Tuesday night. Arizona beat Ottawa at home earlier this season but we look for the Senators to return the favor tonight.
BET OTTAWA SENATORS -120 OVER ARIZONA COYOTES
WINNIPEG JETS AT COLORADO AVALANCHE:
Colorado will be wearing their new alternate jerseys tonight and there’s starting to be talk that they’re ‘cursed’ since the Avs are 0-3 wearing them. The Jets are looking for back to back wins–they’re coming off a very impressive effort at Minnesota on Friday night. The Avalanche can’t find any traction–they won three straight in mid November but have lost four of five since then. Mike Hutchinson will get the start for Winnipeg tonight and will be opposed by the Avs’ enigmatic Semyon Varlamov. Winnipeg has been up and down this season but might be heading in the right direction now. They’ll be without starting goalie Ondrej Pavalec for an indefinite amount of time meaning that the goaltending duties will fall upon the shoulders of Hutchinson and rookie Connor Hellebuyck who allowed only one goal against Minnesota in his NHL debut.
BET COLORADO AVALANCHE -130 OVER WINNIPEG JETS
CALGARY FLAMES AT SAN JOSE SHARKS:
The Calgary Flames had been in freefall back in mid-November but they’ve at least found some equilibrium and are 3-3 in their last six games. They lost a tough 2-1 verdict at Arizona last night and catch a Sharks team that should be well rested having last played on Wednesday night, losing to the Chicago Blackhawks. Calgary has won 6 of the last 10 head to head including 3 of 5 in San Jose. Flames’ goaltending is always a crapshoot but we think the price on San Jose is too high and will take the visitor.
BET CALGARY FLAMES +165 OVER SAN JOSE SHARKS
