Writer’s Guild of America (WGA) Awards 2018 Betting Odds

–The Academy Award ‘Precursors’ are second tier awards from Critics Groups and Professional Guilds

–Hollywood observers follow ‘Precursor’ results trying to predict the Academy Award winners

–The Writers Guild of America (WGA) will hold their 2018 awards ceremony on February 11 at the Beverly Hilton in Los Angeles

The Writers Guild of America (WGA) is technically two organizations–the Writers Guild of America, East (WGAE) which is based in New York City and the Writers Guild of America, West (WGAW) based in Los Angeles. Despite this bifurcated structure, the two groups work in unison for contract agreements, strikes–and awards shows.

The Writers Guild Awards for 2018 will be held in Los Angeles at the Beverly Hilton on February 11, 2018. The nominations for the film awards were released earlier this week. Below you’ll find the betting odds for the 2018 WGA Film Awards.

Obviously, this is a plum honor for a screenwriter but outside of this professional group the awards are significant due to their status as a ‘Precursor’ award for the Academy Awards. The timing of the Writers Guild Awards nominations are significant since the ballots for Academy Awards nominations are being mailed to voters on Friday, January 5.
